The Fat Man 2011

This year our visit to the Fat Man (AKA: Santa) was out in West Valley at the Arts Center. It was awesome. They were having a special event with all these cool gingerbread houses and trees. There was a boutique and choirs singing. And- it was a hidden nugget because no one was really there. It was free to see Fat Man and his wife and they took a free picture of you- Mega deal!

How could we pass this up? We loaded up the kids + Roxie (AKA: Abbey/ vannah's BFF) and headed to the West Side. It was quite fun. I was excited to see how the kids would respond this year and what they would ask for. I love to see how excited Cooper gets, and nervous. Maybe because he knows he isn't the angel child and he is a little scared that Santa might call him on it (HEE HEE)

First was cute Savannah- She politely asked for a camera. Next, Abbey- asking for American Girl Doll stuff.

Third Cooper. He was very macho. Then jumped right on Santa's lap. He was very shy and humble. Saying he wanted to be surprised this year. (major surprise to me:)

Luka tip toed up to Santa. Absolutely would not get on his lap but did stand close enough to make sure Santa could hear him and said "I want star wars stuff" with a big smile and " I have been really, really good this year" and I know Santa didn't understand a word of what he said but smiled and told him to get a candy cane. Lastly, Cannon walked up with a big smile. He let me set him right on Santa's lap and looked right at his face with great interest. Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas. Cannon had no idea what to say. But, he said "I am a GOOD BOY!" with a BIG smile. It was so cute.

Next, we walked through the exhibits and saw lots of cool stuff. I about had a nervous breakdown from my kids almost knocking over million dollar trees and gingerbread houses but we made it out alive! I also only had to buy two bracelets and two walking sticks- yes walking sticks (more weapons!)

It was a fun afternoon though and got us in the Christmas spirit!

I love the "Santa Moments!" My favorite was when Santa came to our house (unexpectedly) and you and Julie were very small. It was precious!
